Shorter TB Treatments Delivered More Quickly
The PeerLINC Knowledge Hub provides practical training and technical support to help speed programmatic implementation of innovative, effective tuberculosis treatments globally. PeerLINC follows a peer-to-peer model for sharing of best practices, experiences, tools, and materials by connecting experts from early adopter countries, with other countries interested in implementing the latest TB treatments to help accelerate widespread access to improved TB cures. PeerLINC, operates in partnership with the Tropical Disease Foundation, Inc. (TDF) and TB Alliance, in close collaboration with the Department of Health, Philippines. PeerLINC’s initial focus is helping countries to implement the WHO-recommended BPaL/M regimens for treating drug-resistant TB.
PeerLINC includes information on best practices and experience on clinical, lab, programmatic implementation, and community engagement aspects of new TB treatment treatments. Core staff is further supplemented by experts in clinical, health economics, and civil society engagement from TB Alliance and partners. PeerLINC training is provided both in-person, either by beneficiary countries visiting the Philippines or PeerLINC experts traveling to the beneficiary country, as well as remotely. Trainings are delivered by a team of experts who continue to guide countries as they implement new treatments.
